Kerala's quiet cascade

Tucked between Munnar and Marayoor, Lakkam is a lesser-known jewel of the Eravikulam plateau — fed by the streams of the Nilgiri Tahr's home, slipping past dark basalt into a shallow forest pool.

Drive 26 km north from Munnar on NH-85 toward Marayoor. Buses ply hourly; taxis take ~45 min.

Arrive before 10 am for the softest light. Swimming is not permitted; viewing deck is safest.
